In as much as you would love to be alone atimes, it is necessary and important that  you know that someone is watching to catch you alone. This brings you to the fact that you should try as much as possible to avoid walking alone especially at nights.

Even when you try to get home early one thing or the other might prevent you from doing that. You only need to ask for the company of someone you know who stay very close to where you live to avoid being robbed, maimed or attacked.

The probability of being attacked when alone is much higher than when you are accompanied.

One other way to be security conscious is to NEVER SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH STRANGERS. One way you can get yourself in trouble is to expose or give out information that is meant for only those close to you. Criminals work with Information; they will try every trick in the book to have info on you.The more information you give out, the more accurate their attack on you. The less they know, the less accurate the attack.

Learn not to share private information in public places such as in the bus, hang-out venues like bars, church, school or any other public place.

You never know who might be listening to your conversation.

Shutting up in public about financial matters is an essential tip if you want to be safe

The worse is Talking on the phone and speaking at the top of your lungs especially when it has to business or financial matter.

TIPS FOR SECURITY CONSCIOUS PEOPLE

Security Consciousness is not something you can turn on and off at will, its something you have to hold on to at all time. It extends to homes, offices, places of worship, even in the littlest things like fire outbreaks,natural calamities like flood, tsunamis, earthquakes, riots and the list goes on. I have once heard someone say,”there’s no little thing in any calamity” hence, precautions should be taken.

You CAN NOT leave the job of securing Lives and Property to only to Enforcement Agencies, you as an individual must be Security Conscious.

Be Unpredictable – Randomness

Criminals, while understudying a target look for consistent pattern in your daily life. You follow the same route to and from work, you always keep late nights every Friday or hang out at a particular location, you use one password for all your ATM cards, you board the same cab or drive the same car regularly.

The more predictable you become, the easier it is for them to strike. They will simply plan an attack on you and your loved ones based on your predictable life.

If you go to venues which might be your home, party, relaxation centers, where you regularly watch matches, at the exact time you are expected, “THEY” might attack at that particular time.

So allow some form of randomness in your life. As they say, the only constant thing in life is change, likewise, try to change some static patterns in your life that can be used as clues by the enemy to strike.
